10,000 STEPS TO DENALI EVENTS

The longest and most strenuous day on Denali was the summit attempt, a five-mile (roughly 10,000 step) round-trip trek from high camp and back. While the team was on Denali, we challenged followers across the nation to rally young people and their families to get outside near their homes and take their own 10,000 Steps to Denali. It is widely recommended that people get 10,000 steps of walking in each day, and what better way to kick-start that healthy lifestyle than by commemorating this historic attempt?

While the Expedition Denali team was taking far more strenuous 10,000 steps, they did it all to inspire America’s youth to explore their own potential, their great outdoors, and their passions. We saw an incredible turnout—check out photos from just a few of the events below.
